A Qualitative Case Study Analysis applying KSD in Group Art Psychotherapy for School Adjustment of School Maladjusted Adolescents

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine how group arts psychotherapy exchange school maladjusted adolescents. Especially the study was focused to discern the essence of expereience in group arts psychotherapy using art, play, linguistic activity. The participants of 11 middle school students in City K were conducted 12-week group therapy program. Each session lasted 80 minutes once a week. First, It was to testify inter-rater reliability on five experts. Then the KSD scoring system was used to analyze figure format and the cases was categorized to be analyzed for six questions by Shake¡¯s (1995)¡¯s essential case study method. The result was verified that the the activating and drawing characteristic dimension was changed dynamic in bodily features, including facial expressions and location barrier dimension were observed the relief of barriers. The contents of the KSD questionnaire were classified into four categories. Finally, it was discussed implications for effective counseling interventions enhancing adolescents¡¯ school adjustment based on the results in terms of emotion regulation, initiative, interest, inetrpersonal.
